Welcome to The Weekly Whimsy!

Happy Monday! Maybe it’s the remains of April Fools Day, but ‘silliness’ has been big on the brain for me. We’re living in a heavy world right now, and while some might argue that this is not the time for silliness or whimsy, I actually think there’s never been a better time for it. We need laughter, we need joy, we need our silly geese! So c’mon little gosling, let’s do this.

3 whimsies for the week

1. Draw a small friend (a smiley face, a little mouse, a star) on a piece of paper and keep it in your pocket as your sidekick for the day.

   Everybody needs a sidekick! Mine is a little mouse and we’ve bonded over our love of cheese.

2. Refer to your coffee or tea as your “secret potion”

   The sentence “Sorry, I’m legally not allowed to open my laptop until I’ve had a sip of my secret potion.” feels powerful to me.

3. Prank-call someone you love.

   Here comes the silly, folks. Hit up the ole *67 and prank call a friend. Warning: will cause giggles.

I trying not to get ~squirmy~ when asking for a favor but I could really use your help! I was chosen as a semi-finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (!!!)
