The Weekly Whimsy - August 10th, 2026
3 small ways to add more whimsy to your day, 2 quotes worth saving, and 1 new thing I’m trying in 2026.
Welcome to The Weekly Whimsy!
Hello, hello! I hope this newsletter finds you on the corner of happy and healthy (and no, not at Walgreens… they can’t be the only ones hanging out on that corner!) But in the off chance you aren’t hanging out on ~that~ corner and are having one of ~those~ weeks, just know that it’s okay to be sad, or tired, or scared, or all of the above - those guys tend to hang out together. Think of yourself like a mountain and the gunky stuff like a cloud. It might get dark and it might even storm… but it’s just a cloud, and it will pass.
Btw, my song There Is Time, is out now! I hope it helps you take a deep breath and remember: there is time. :)
3 whimsies for the week
Make a ticket and invite yourself to a great day.
Now showing: your amazing, wonderful day ahead. Create a ticket (we’re channeling my guy, Willy Wonka’s golden ticket here) or heck, use e-vite and send it to yourself in an email. Who says you can’t schedule joy?
Go flower picking!
Find a pick-your-own cut flower farm near you (or try the farmer’s market to get flowers by the stem!) Arrange them whimsically or plop ‘em in a vase. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon outside and enjoy some beautiful local blooms.
Start a ‘curious list of questions’ in your notes.
When you have a really, really random question add it to the list. I keep a list so I remember to look up the answer later, and also because I’ve found that it’s a good conversation starter. Like for example, what actually is deja vu? And why did we create a whole new system for shoe sizes when we could’ve just stuck to centimeters or inches!?
2 quotes to tuck away
“Replace judgement with curiosity.” - Lynn Nottage
“Embarrassment is an under explored emotion. Go out there and make a fool of yourself.” - Austin Butler
1 thing I’m trying
Very simple but I’m trying not to multi-task. *gasp* Yep, I’m trying to do one thing at a time instead of running like a chicken with a million tabs open. It’s kinda difficult but I appreciate the challenge and my nervous system is appreciating the slower pace.
Wishing you a week full of the good stuff! <3

p.s. don’t forget to download this month’s whimsical activity guide! it’s hand-designed and doodled for you, from me :)

Anna! Your song came on my FYP and I didn't realise it was you until now! I love it so much!! xx
Hi Anna, brand new here - just getting started! I have a million tabs open right now (eek!). Thanks for the reminder to slow down!
